I am sorry to inform you that Laurie Fairman, one of our earliest members, passed away last night. He was a stalwart who battled back from many health issues over recent years. For the past two years he has been unable to walk with us but continued to take an interest in our wanderings, making occasional visits to the pubs we visited.
He remained cheerful to the end, having recently been transferred from a hospice to a care home in Mobberley which was nearer to his family home in Knutsford. Our thoughts are with his devoted wife Wendy and Laurie's extended family.
