The route follows the path lead by Russell in July last year and although classed as moderate, due to the extreme temperatures a number of hydration breaks were necessary. The walk is detailed on the OS map with the points of interest available in the previous blog, however of particular interest this week was the discovery on the Hanging stone of a Buzzard’s nest with 3 chicks.
Next weeks walk will begin at the Red Lion in Litton SK17 8QU 9:40 and might be led on his return from major surgery by Tom Cunliffe esq.
